Well-being and Health

Our team (phds and programmers) focuses on brain EEG signals and match those biometrics with any types of visual contents. Our various projects in the medical sector have led our teams to address issues both upstream and downstream of the needs of patients and caregivers. MAJOR MEDICAL FOCUS BY BMU –  Alzheimer – Genomic – Student – Relaxation

ALZHEIMER
In association with the Pompidou Foundation in France and the Institut universitaire de gériatrie de Montréal, BMU’s team has set up several strategies to cover Alzheimer and dementia challenges in order to increase memorization and cognitive performance by reducing negative emotions. A total of seven content are developed with specific goals : relaxation, orientation, audio stimulation, motivation stimulation, synchronization, trust consolidation and social engagement. Each of those contents will pay attention to certain emotional states and mind sets among: valence, frustration, meditation, engagement, excitation, relaxation, fear and happiness. The first clinical tests are in progress with patients.

GENOMIC
Our team is strong on neurobiometrics tools and measures but also on VR-AR applications. We have collaborated with McGill University on a Simple Exploration of 3D Genome Structures using Virtual Reality. genomics virtualrealityBMU Genomic 3D tool

MICROSCOPY

COVID19 tools to enable contact free advanced microscopy, remote training and technical support while maintaining physical distancingBMU Augmented Intelligence - Fighting COVID-19 Microscopy AI

After complete shutdown, gradual return of research productivity needs to be maximized while still maintaining safe working conditions and minimizing the potential for transmission of the coronavirus. The gold standard of advanced microscopy is to provide access to key infrastructure which should also include advanced research support from microscopy specialists. In order to use the infrastructure to its full potential, researchers require in- depth ongoing support from expert microscopy specialists. This type of research support is impossible to offer with the current COVID-19 physical distancing limitations. The project aims to develop human-machine interactive tools for voice control contact free microscopy, Augmented Reality (AR) tools for audio/video communication between users and microscopy specialists for remote research support and an artificial intelligence (AI) assistant to continuously harness the best available resources online.

STUDENTS
The Hypocrates program assists students in the evaluation of the mastery of knowledge not only on their ability to retain but also on the ability to define their understanding of the situation with respect to their mental states and associated emotions.

RELAXATION
We have developped in association with research centers a complete VR experience called The Virtual Sophrologist. This is an example about how a fully connected neural system can be used to orient and guide a person within a relaxation process. It allows user to dive into relaxation techniques and measure efficiency by adding neurofeedback.

Relieve stress and increase focus with The Virtual Sophrologist by BMU Augmented Intelligence.
